Ok, here goes; to finish the story about my drive from the airport, lets just say that lane lines are optional, 120 k/hr really is toooooo fast, and despite having a gps straight from star trek, we got lost about 5 times. I did finally make it to my apartment, which is in a really nice urban area (and, they don't use house keys!! I have a code I punch in to unlock my door). Oh, and every elevator has a tv that plays commercials non-stop. Way to go to find a captive audience! The rest of my thurs was spent shopping with my coteacher (apparently she really likes pink; I slipped in a purple bedspread, and I think she dissaproves; my sheets, pillow case, and towels are all pink). Then, sleep...kinda. This is when I found out that my building is surrounded by pool halls and bars. Excellent.
Friday...I can't lie, I stayed in all day and watched Korean tv. Seriously.
Saturday, I managed to leave my apartment and walk around. My only goal was to locate a park I had heard was nearby, but sadly, I failed at that. It was pretty dead around, and I don't know if it was because its a holiday weekend, or before noon the day after everyone went out drinking. I did spot some foreigners walking around (2!) but they both looked pretty busy and ignored me, so I did the same.
There!!! All caught up. As soon as I figure out how to add pictures, I will.
I am your first commentor!!! I didn't realize you actually followed up with your announcement of getting a blog. It should be easy to upload pictures - if you need any help, let me know.
