Monday! Also known as sunday night to those of you back home!

Started today off with the ritual skype chat with mom, after a brief but violent struggle with my internet connection. I finally completed my goal of locating the park that was nearby, turns out it is directly across the street...it just wasn't in the direction I expected. I was able to speak (briefly) english today! Though, it was through no effort of my own; the teacher I'm replacing was nice enough to stop by and see how I was doing (and cleared up the trash mystery). Of course, it was after he left that I thought to ask him about the mail mystery...oh well. The park is really nice, and I saw a lot of foreigners briskly walking through it on their way some where...so I think that might be where I attempt to meet people. The park is big, and it even has a little kid skate park (in which one giant white guy was also geared up to skate, though he was on a cell phone when I walked by, so I'm not sure what went on there...), and, I spotted some of the work out equipment I kept reading about! Though I was disappointed to notice that mostly kids just play on them; regrettably, there were not any hardcore workout fans going at it in the park.
So, the park was the highlight of my day; I took some pictures, but haven't been able to find where to post them on here yet. I also tried posting some on facebook, but kept getting an "unexpected error" (aren't all errors unexpected?). So, we shall see whether this realizes its dream of being a photo blog or not...

  1. A giant white guy on a little skatepark... that's a weird image! I'm glad you found the park. What was the trash mystery?? Is there like a chute or something that you dump it down? (I think I'm having a flashback to Friends here... urban living:P) That's really weird about the pictures - are they gigantic size? A weird file type? Or do you think it's the South Korean prejudice? I hope you figure it out soon.
