Yay for field trips and tests!!

This week has been a pretty awesome week to start teaching; aside from the district test all the 6th graders took on tues, giving me my morning free, yesterday all the 4th graders had a field trip! again giving me a free morning. It was pretty cool...despite the fact that now all the lessons are out of synch. But I'm gonna let my co-teachers worry about that :) (and BONUS: next week my coteachers are going to some workshop or other, on fri & sat, so I'm pretty sure I'll have a 3 day weekend!)
Today was alright; I think I'll slip into the routine of things pretty easily, though it's already threatening to get boring. This morning was the first morning that I ran into a crazy amount of people on the subway, so I have to take back what I said about the packing in thing;we were sardines. When I get home, I will be returning with crazy mob-crowd navigating skills; perfect for the next concert I go to. Another note on the subway; I tend to look at people's phones, b/c I don't have one yet, and I'm just scoping things out. This chick took out a phone, and it looked like and iphone. Then she pulled out its antenna. It was a tv. and she got a signal in the subway. my first thought? cool. my second? I'm gonna lose an eye (thankfully she moved the antenna away from my vital parts). Today, however, I saw another person with tv; and this is for you, Deb!! Someone who will appreciate it! He was watching SUPERNATURAL!! It was awesome (and yes, I can name the episode, but I won't act like the total Supernatural geek I am). After work, I went grocery shopping, and lugged a Cameron-sized bag home to my apartment. Despite how weight-liftingly heavy it was, I was disappointed to find that my kitchen still looks unlived in...my fridge contents look pretty forlorn. Anyway, tomorrow I only have 4 6th grade classes, then lunch, then me and my coteacher are going to Seoul to get my Alien Registration Card (hereafter, ARC!) Yay! Its almost like I actually live here! :)

  1. Supernatural, YAY!!! That is so awesome. How can your refrigerator still have nothing in it? Even after you went grocery shopping?? What's your favorite thing to eat right now? Mmm... I'm eating an awesome chewy brownie with chocolate chips right now myself:) Anyway, I'm glad things are going well. Love you!

  2. there are things in my fridge, just not enough; im used to a full fridge in a house where between 3 or 4 people live, so my fridge will always look a little empty (your fridge only looks normal cause its filled with leftovers you haven't thrown out lol)
